A relatively new (July 2007) paper has been released entitled “Achieving Racial and Ethnic Diversity among Academic and Research Librarians: The Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement of Librarians of Color.” Authored by the ACRL Board of Directors ACRL Task Force and produced by Teresa Y. Neely and Lorna Peterson, the paper provides a literature review and recommendations for consideration.

CBC Radio is running a program called “Our Home and Native Land”. Interviews will be held with Aboriginal peoples throughout Canada on a variety of topics. Previously aired interviews and stories will be made available through the website.

Increasingly, we’re seeing graphic novels and comics authored by Aboriginal writers and illustrators. As a fan of graphic novels in general (and an avid reader of comics as a kid), I am super happy to see this growing body of work.
