The Library Zen Network (LIS ZEN): A blog, search engine, wiki and more!

A growing integrated resource, developed by Garrett Hungerford, is The Library Zen Network. It includes the following:

  • LISZEN – A search engine for library and information science blogs. Through LISZEN, you can submit your blog for inclusion in the database.
  • LISZEN: Trends – A “web application that allows you to submit an article that will be reviewed by all and will be promoted, based on popularity, to the main page.”
  • Library Zen – Garrett Hungerford’s blog
  • Library Zen and LISZEN Wiki – “The official wiki for LibraryZen, LISZEN and LISZEN: Trends.” If you have a blog, you can also add it to the wiki.

It is a unique example of bringing wiki, blog, search engine and forum-type technologies together to connect librarians with each other.
